Taken from former design droid Steve Cook’s excellent Secret Oranges blog(well worth a visit).
Just living my bohemian lifestyle, reading the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic, wishing the legal bullshit around ‘Zenith’ would get sorted out so they can collect the darn thing.
He’d also go on to design the Skrull Kill Krew which was also drawn by Steve Yeowell and written by Grant Morrison (this time with help from Mark Millar).
Also in Prog2001 are a grinning vacant puppet,Tony Blair and a pair of washed-up Gallagher brothers-so pretty much spot on then!
From Grant Morrison and Steve Yeowell the brilliant Zenith turns up for a one-off visit in “zzz zenith.com”
#60 - Zenith of 2000ad fame
Steve Cook’s trawl through Tharg’s old christmas cards continues, unearthing this gem:
A fun 2000AD Christmas card by Colin MacNeil in 1990. This was also used as the cover for prog #710.
David Frankum has a nicely irreverant entry behind the latest door in the 2000AD forum calendar (I especially like the look on Tharg’s face):
Zenith and Bill Savage celebrate Christmas.
