Dredd vs Death is the only thing I bought on day 1 of the Steam summer sale.
$5.35! You’d have to be a fool to pass that up!
Steam may be more famous for doing ridiculous deals, but GOG can keep up when it feels like it. This weekend only, their entire Rebellion catalogue is half price, meaning they’re either $4.99 or $2.99. Notable titles included in the deal are the devilish Evil Genius, the famous Empire Earth series and the tragically underrated (if stupidly-titled) Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Judge Death, which I actually wrote a review for aaages ago.
I can personally assure you that both Evil Genius and Judge Dredd are an absolute steal at the prices being asked for them, so head on over to the link at the top and buy ‘em. GOG is as reputable a provider of games as Steam, merely smaller, with the added bonus of specialising in good old games and guaranteeing that all titles sold on their site are both compatible with modern machines and entirely DRM-free. Then there’s the added incentive of free soundtracks and such that frequently come with things, so you have precisely no reason not to buy all and any awesome games you see on there. I can’t recommend GOG enough.
And I admit their introducing me to the wonderful Painkiller may have left me with a bit of a bias.
