The 2000AD Re-Read 2012

Don’t I Know You From Somewhere?

Cameos aplenty from Ramon Sola as John Wayne’s Earl Reagan meets Yul Brynner’s Sheriff, clearly based on the gun-slinger from Westworld, and Lee Marvin, possibly recreating a touching moment from The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.

In another installment of Celebrity Squaxx, where we look at famous fans of thrillpower, there is China Mieville:

What’s the first comic book series you ever read?
CM: Almost certainly one of the British ones, from 2000AD - Judge Dredd, or my beloved Nemesis the Warlock, or something like that.

Perhaps one day Tharg could tempt him into writing for his mighty organ, we can but dream…
