Sometimes, only sometimes I think that maybe Ellen Ripley and Major Alan “Dutch” Schaeffer are ancestors of Chief Judge Fargo (so in some ways Judge Dredd ancestors). Need further investigation.
Welll let’s not forget that there was a Judge Schaeffer in Predator vs Dredd* - from Wikipedia: “Judge Schaefer, a judge from Psi Division who is a direct descendant of NYPD Detective Schaefer, the brother of Major Alan “Dutch” Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character in the original film). Although the detective didn’t appear in Predator 2 he featured in the first Predator comic book outting Concrete Jungle written by Mark Verheiden which parallels a lot of the themes in the second film.”
* Not sure why the Predator got top billing when it was Judge Dredd vs Aliens, without a Judge Ripley I believe.
